Causes of Noises When Turning the Steering Wheel

The sounds coming from the vehicle consist of various parts. The Noises When Turning the Steering Wheel originate from the steering wheel itself and some parts of the front parts of the vehicle. When you turn the steering wheel, when the sound comes, it is perceived as coming only from the front set or the wheel parts. However, that is not the case at all. It should also be recognized as Steering Wheel Noises. Let's look at what causes the noises when the steering wheel is turned.

                              Steering Pump Failure

The Noise When Turning the Steering Wheel can sometimes be caused by the "Steering Pump". The pump part, which serves to turn the steering wheel more easily, is subject to wear over time, especially in old model vehicles. This leads to malfunctions that go up to 100% force and noise when turning the steering wheel of the vehicle. When the Steering Pump Oil is missing or completely depleted, the steering wheel will not be as mobile as before. It loses its function. This causes it to make a sound when you turn it. Therefore, the steering oil must be changed.

                               V Belt Failure

If you hear a belt noise when you turn the steering wheel, most likely a V-Belt Failure has occurred. When the V-Belt tensioner fails, the noise continues every time you turn the steering wheel. Checking the belt tensioner parts and making the necessary oil maintenance will solve the problem. The V-Belt also causes the steering pump of the vehicle to malfunction.

                               Shock Absorber Upper Bearing Malfunction

If you hear a "Click" sound when you turn the steering wheel, it means that there are cracks or cracks in the upper part of the Shock Absorber. Indicates that the shock absorber upper axle needs to be replaced.

                              Malfunction of axle heads

Axle part that provides power transmission in vehicles may fail over time. Depending on the year of use, that part must now be replaced. It is normal to hear a sound when the steering wheel is turned.

                                      Steering box Malfunction

The steering box needs to be changed depending on the vehicle model, depending on the specific life. The malfunction in the steering box is felt in the steering wheel, especially on rough roads. The box needs to be changed or repaired if the problem is minor.

                                       Front Gear Failure

When there is a gap between the parts in the front of the vehicle, especially on rough roads, a hard "Clip" sound may be heard from the steering wheel. In such cases, the parts on the front axle must be changed. Repair work can be done by finding the defective part.
