Car air conditioning malfunctions can occur for various reasons. When the air conditioning malfunctions, the vehicle's performance will decrease. A vehicle stalling problem can be caused by the air conditioning. Problems can arise while the car is running or moving. Similar situations occur when the air conditioning affects other parts of the vehicle. Air conditioning malfunctions can be caused by issues originating from several different parts. We will discuss some possible causes of a vehicle stalling when the air conditioning is on.

                          1. Idle Speed Malfunction and Throttle Body Contamination

The vehicle is designed to operate at a specific engine speed. If there's a problem with the engine speed adjustment, full performance won't be achieved when the air conditioning is on. Insufficient engine speed weakens the engine power. The same applies to the throttle body. A clogged or excessively dirty throttle body prevents the vehicle from running properly. Since the air conditioning provides extra power, an improperly adjusted idle speed and a clogged throttle body are factors that will hinder the vehicle's operation.

                                          Troubleshooting

               • Throttle body cleaning should be performed.

             • Idle speed adjustment should be checked.

             • Engine parts should be inspected for any malfunctions.

                        2. Weak Battery or Alternator Problem

A weak battery directly affects several parts of the vehicle, particularly causing electrical malfunctions. If the battery is weak, the headlights will dim, the air conditioning won't work efficiently, and the engine won't perform at its best. The alternator is another source of these problems. The alternator, which regulates the electrical current, can cut off power to the engine when the air conditioning is turned on, causing the vehicle to stall.

                                           Troubleshooting

. The battery is subjected to a voltage test.

. If the battery is weak, it is replaced.

. The alternator parts are checked.

                       3. Air Conditioner Compressor Failure

The compressor directly affects the efficient operation of the air conditioner. If the compressor malfunctions or cuts out, the air conditioner cannot function properly. No electrical current will be supplied. If the air conditioner is switched on while the vehicle is in motion, the engine power connected to the compressor will decrease.

                                             Troubleshooting

                       . Compressor parts are inspected.

. If there is a fault, it is replaced.

. Electrical voltage power is tested.

                   4. Dirty Air Filter and Injector Malfunction

If the air filter is dirty or excessively clogged, the engine cannot function properly. Interruptions in the power flow occur, preventing the vehicle from starting. The injector is a part directly connected to the electrical current. If it operates irregularly or the malfunction is severe, no current is supplied to the car when the air conditioning is turned on. The problem can progress to the point where the vehicle stalls.

                                           Troubleshooting

                • The air filter should be checked and replaced.

               • The injectors should be inspected.

              • The parts of the MAF sensor should be checked.
