Automatic Transmission Shaking During Start-up Fault

Automatic transmission vehicles sometimes experience vibration problems. These vibrations are particularly noticeable when starting off. Automatic transmission vibration is generally a sign of a malfunction progressing around the transmission itself. When the transmission is not working correctly, serious problems arise with automatic gear changes. Gear shift vibration can progress to the point where the transmission fails to engage the gears correctly and cancels gear changes after a certain period.

                               Automatic Transmission Malfunction

Automatic transmission vibration malfunctions are caused by the transmission affecting gear changes. If the gear engagement doesn't occur, a vibration problem arises during automatic gear changes. If the transmission causes a clutch problem, it will cause vibration during acceleration. If the vehicle vibrates while starting, it means the transmission is not engaging. If the transmission does not fully engage the clutch connection between the automatic gears, it will cause short-term or severe vibration during acceleration. While the vehicle is in motion, the noise and vibration intensity may increase due to the transmission. When the severity of the malfunction increases, gear changes may be completely prevented. When the connection with the gear change is broken, the transmission does not allow gear changes due to the clutch.

How to fix a transmission malfunction?

When a transmission gear shifting malfunction occurs, all transmission components are inspected. Connections to the automatic transmission are examined, and any wear or breakage in the parts leading to the gearbox is repaired. During diagnosis, diagnostic tools are used to investigate technical problems damaging the transmission. Once the cause of the automatic transmission not engaging is identified, the transmission is cleaned and parts are replaced smoothly. It is advisable to contact a technical service center promptly when a vibration problem is detected in the vehicle. As the malfunction progresses, it can lead to the transmission becoming completely inoperable and requiring a complete replacement.

                                           Automatic Transmission Maintenance

In automatic transmission vehicles, the gearbox is extremely important. It establishes a clutch connection with gear changes. Problems originating from the gearbox reduce its lifespan. Regular gearbox maintenance is essential. The automatic transmission is directly connected to the gearbox. Its smooth operation depends on the gearbox being in perfect working order. If technical malfunctions occur in the gearbox, vibrations and even stalling can occur during gear changes. A gearbox check at least 1-2 times a year is recommended.

Automatic Transmission Troubleshooting and Repair

Automatic transmission vehicles experience various malfunctions. While gearbox failures can be minor, they can sometimes cause very serious damage. Drivers of automatic vehicles often experience malfunctions if they neglect regular maintenance. Those who have experienced automatic transmission failures report receiving various warnings before the problem occurs. Symptoms in the gearbox are indicators of an impending malfunction. Delaying repairs will allow problems that could be resolved quickly to escalate.

How to Identify a Gearbox Malfunction?

Gear Shifting Difficulty: This is a common problem in automatic transmission vehicles. Gear changes are difficult. Problems in the transmission panels can prevent the gearbox from functioning properly. Wear and tear on the transmission and hydraulic system causes gearbox failure. Regular maintenance of the transmission and hydraulic parts is essential throughout the year.

Vehicle Not Shifting Out of Gear Problem: The problem of automatic transmission vehicles not being able to shift gears, which is frequently encountered, is a problem in the hydraulic system. If the hydraulic system is not functioning as it should, it directly affects automatic gear changes. This can cause sticking during gear changes, or the vehicle may suddenly stop. Wear and tear on parts in the transmission also triggers this problem.

Vehicle Not Moving in Gear Problem: This is a danger encountered in automatic transmission vehicles, and the severity of the malfunctions increases over time. If there is a mechanical failure in the parts inside the gearbox, even if the gears shift, a jamming occurs. The vehicle is prevented from moving, as if the brakes are being applied. Problems in some parts of the transmission system will also lead to this situation.

                                                       How to Repair a Gearbox?

When a gearbox malfunction occurs, taking it to a service center is a priority. The internal components of the gearbox should be inspected by professionals. Automatic transmission malfunctions require expert repair and maintenance. The source of the malfunction must be fully understood, and repair work should be carried out covering the gearbox, transmission, and hydraulic system. Incorrect connections or the installation of unsuitable parts during repair can cause more damage to the gearbox than is normal. Repairs performed outside of service centers can quickly lead to the vehicle breaking down on the road. Gearbox malfunctions can also cause other problems.
